Portable PoE Injector for IP Cameras

Veracity's POINTSOURCE is a rechargeable battery-powered Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector, especially designed to enable security installers to install, setup, test or demonstrate IP cameras in an installation, even if no network or power connection is available

POINTSOURCE features PINPOINT-style integrated network crossover, to allow direct connection of a laptop. It supports all classes of 802.3af PoE device, and also includes a 12 volt power output for auxilliary equipment.

Versatile mobile power

POINTSOURCE can be used with all PoE-powered equipment, such as IP cameras and wireless access points, enabling applications such as:

on-site configuration
site surveys and pre-installation trials
customer demonstrations
mobile and temporary installations

Using POINTSOURCE as an installation tool eliminates any need for trailing cables or return visits to site in order to set up IP cameras when power or PoE is available.

Easy to use

Because POINTSOURCE is compatible with the universal IEEE 802.3af PoE standard, it will automatically enable and control power delivery to IP cameras on connection. And simply connecting a second patch cable to a laptop PC or other network device allows a direct network connection to the camera.

POINTSOURCE incorporates battery and PoE status LEDs and includes a separate charging adapter, an adjustable shoulder strap, and a set of colour-coded network cables. It is designed to last a full day of network camera installation, and can be safely left to recharge overnight.

Accessory supply

If required, 12 volt-powered equipment may be connected to POINTSOURCE using a fast, secure spring terminal connection. The 12 volt output is available at the same time as the PoE supply, and allows monitors, meters, non-PoE cameras or other 12 volt equipment to receive their power from POINTSOURCE as well.
